Jason and April Lloyd own a low volume, high sales photography studio in Blytheville, Arkansas. While the primary focus of their studio is newborn, children and family portraiture, the Lloyds also offer high school senior portraiture and corporate head shots. The Lloyds started their business in 2009, and recently moved their storefront studio into a historic home that they converted into a beautiful new studio space. They take pride in offering a high-end service with a down-home, small town feel by being client centric and genuine in their approach.

April brings her experience as a nurse into the studio’s newborn work, and she has been dubbed the “baby whisperer” within their market. She designs sets for newborns and children for each session, as well as wrapping, posing and soothing the babies. April also manages the business and performs all sales sessions, earning the studio a six-figure income consistently since leaving health care in 2014.

April, a gifted speaker, is often asked to speak at various “non-photography related” events, about her motivational perspective of taking risks, based on various circumstances, including the family’s move to Africa in 2015. Throughout various times in the couple’s marriage and business, they have taken chances that most would consider risky- even reckless. Each time it was liken to running and jumping from a cliff, into the unknown… April explores these scary and daring moments, and the great rewards of the risks, hoping to inspire each to live life fully.
